This fall, Kenmore-based Kenworth Truck starts the rollout of the T270 and T370 Hybrid medium-duty pickup and delivery trucks.
Much like the Toyota Prius, the Kenworth hybrids utilize energy generated during braking to assist in acceleration. Under speeds of 30 miles per hour, the engine uses stored electric energy in combination with the diesel engine to power the vehicle.
